Welcome to GradCon

This year, Poster Presenations will be held in the Engineering & Information Technology Complex (EITC)'s Atrium, from 8 a.m. to  3:30 p.m.

Poster Criteria

Reviewers will review posters from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and consider each poster on the following criteria 

  1. Visual quality: Attractive design, fonts and graphics, use of text …............................………….(30 points)
  2. Flow: Background, problem definition, methodology, results, conclusions, communication
    to a non-specialist audience………………………….....................................................................(30 points)
  3. Technical content: Complexity of the work, technical merit, sound approach……….…………………………(15 points)
  4. Significance of results: Presentation, significant aspects highlighted, novelty described….………..(25 points)

Awards

FOUR Awards will be presented and ONE Grand Prize presentation.

The Grand Prize will be awarded to the poster acheiving the overall best in show presentation of research in a clear and concise manner. The Reviewers will have access to poster participants' abstracts and should be able to verify that a clear corrolation exists.

The awards will be presented to the students exhibiting excellent work in their poster presentaton during the GradCon Luncheon, Room 204 University Centre, Marshall McLuhan Hall.
